c.2012 German-made Bruko "Yellow Submarine" Painted Uke

This eye-popping, wonderful concert uke is owned by a customer of mine who popped by to drop off a mandolinetto for repair. He had this uke along with him, bought from Painted Ukuleles, and I've gotta say -- that website needs a better camera! The wild paint job is top notch and intense, with scenes that flip sides and, like good camouflage, serve to break up the entire form of the uke.

The uke itself is a Geman-made recent Bruko and it has the sturdy, simple, and charming quality that those ukes tend to have.

Hard to find the edges, huh?

This is actually my favorite bit, up here at the headstock...

Gotta love that endpin area...!
