c.1950 Fin-Der Plastic Uke

In terms of "feel" -- by proportion, scale, neck shape, etc. -- this feels like a little old Martin 0 uke. However, it's not! Sounds pretty darn good for plastic, though, and plays nicely to boot.

Work included: setup and rebuild of the saddle on the A string slot (it was broken).

Cute logo on the headstock.

There are a couple of light cracks near the bridge but they seem stable enough. Certainly don't hurt the tone.

The back and sides are a weird purple/brownish/blackish/gold-flecked swirl.

Funky friction tuners!

I like this bridge design better than on most plastic ukes. And unlike most plastic ukes this one has a good flat top, too.
